  • Overview

    Reporting into the Assistant Merchandiser you analyse and effectively ensure that stock level per sku are set correctly to meet sales demand, potential availability for stores and online, whilst minimising overstocks and maximising profits. 


    This is a great opportunity to join a fast growing business and Merchandising Team. The position is full time permanent.

    What you'll be doing

    • Allocation and Replenishment
      • Executes accurate allocations according to buy plan ranging as defined by Branch Planning and B&M team
      • Adheres to territory trading recommendations in line with trade performance
      • Continually reviews allocation depths, by store, by product for territory and ecomm
      • Checks web reserve is sufficent and communicates/resolves short falls/excess concerns
      • Review daily pick volumes
      • Ensure sufficient stock in stores and online to potentialise sales of promotional activities
      • Ensure CON lines have at least 95% availability
      • Reviews daily/weekly line performance with Assistant Merchandiser, ensuring optimas are correct and potential issues identifed
      • Responsible for clearing of sku fragmentation and is aware of DC intake, pick and dispatch capacities
    • Intake
      • Reviews intake into the DC and highlights any issues to the wider team ie where stock is insufficent or excessive
    • Grading
      • Allocating to system grades as defined by Branch Planning
      • Analyse grading performance identifying opportunities and comunicates to Branch Planning
      • Allocate to what we’ve bought for – distribution to reflect agreed grading and ranging
    • System Skills
      • Allocation and replenishment (BB Super User)
      • Maintains A&R system parameters
    • Communication
      • Store visits
      • Regular management of MW Grades inbox, communicating to relevant team if necessary
      • Regular weekly meetings with category team to discuss current allocations, stock and future intake/distribution ranging
    • Team Support
      • Identifies and shares best practice with fellow allocation colleagues
      • Supports category performance in delivering xxx
      • Supports team with Monday analysis; runs departmental reports, ad hoc analysis and company reports such as P.E and promo tracker
      • Sets up weekly MD and price change sheets
