  • Overview

    We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join a busy team in a rapidly expanding retailer. Mountain Warehouse currently trades from over 325 stores including 80 stores across Europe & North America. We also have a thriving e-commerce site and trade through a number of online marketplaces, such as Amazon & Ebay, both in the UK and internationally. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager and supporting the AP team, you will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely capture & payment of invoices.

    What you'll be doing

    • Process multi-currency purchase invoices including checking all cost centre and GL account coding to ensure accurate financial reporting
    • Ensuring the team are liaising with internal and external contacts to resolve invoice and ledger queries in a timely manner
    • Supporting the team in their supplier statement reconciliations and resolving any supplier queries
    • Preparation & review of aged creditors reports
    • Ensure all invoices/expenses have been appropriately authorised
    • Review payment runs, ensuring that payment priorities are managed to support the business
    • Matching & allocating direct debit payments to supplier invoices
    • Covering the teams duties when needed to achieve accounts payable deadlines
    • Supporting co-workers within the team and working together to achieve business targets
    • Other ad-hoc duties as required

    We would love to meet someone with

    • Relevant experience working in an accounts payable role, including experience supervising or leading other members of the team
    • High level of numeracy and strong IT skills (particularly Excel)
    • Excellent attention to detail, performing all work with high levels of accuracy
    • Good spoken and written communication skills and initiative to problem solve
    • Organisational and time management skills with ability to work to deadlines
    • Open, friendly person who is proactive with a Can do attitude, keen to develop and work as part of a growing team
    • Previous experience with SunSystems, Vision Q&A and V1 is an advantage
    • Language skills (particularly Polish & German) would be beneficial
