  • Overview

    Responsible for specific Territory KPIs including  sales, profit and availability by optimising stock, maximising growth and potentializing trading opportunities – both in store and online

    What you'll be doing


    • Helps to deliver optimal availability and stock levels, including Online, ensuring assortment matches market requirements
    • Builds a strong knowledge of own Territory and storebase to identify trading opportunities – where we could improve availability through increased inventory or where product gaps exist, potentialising ranging, options, colours, etc.
    • Chairs regular meetings with Allocators, delivering clear instructions and ensuring appropriate optimas and adjusts for future demand, e.g.for promotions and during key selling periods
    • Provide the business with accurate and clear analysis and market intelligence for each Territory
    • Undertakes regular Territory visits and collaborates with Retail teams to review performance, collate market information and recognise opportunities

    Seasonal Planning

    • Responsible for the maintenance of pre-season frameworks e.g. Trading tools, reports and critical paths
    • Is always aware of critical path key dates; pro-actively identifying and adopting necessary strategy to deliver plans
    • Working closely with the TTM and Branch Planning team, assists with the planning of Territory ranging to deliver season launch, peak and MD with sufficient stock width and depth in line with planned strategy
    • Regularly reviews pricing within Territory/Region and makes appropriate recommendations
    • Supports with local retail events calendar, ensuring events are planned for and reported on
    • Confidently identifies and proposes new opportunities and trialling new ideas, challenge current processes and direction

    Inventory Management

    • Ownership of specific Territory WSSI to identify stock requirements, opportunities and surplus
    • Identifies heavy stocks and recommends appropriate markdowns to Merchandising
    • Ensures appropriate allocation and replenishment is in place, to optimise sell, minimise risk, control terminal stock and maximise profit
    • Ensures web reserve is sufficient at all times
    • Identifies and manages stock consolidations/Transfers/RTWs
    • Works closely and collaboratively with Supply Chain

    • Leads by example, is a role model within MW team
    • Develops, coaches, supports team members to fulfil their potential

    Effective Communication

    • Act as key point of contact for regional responsibility with buying and merchandising functions.
    • Communicates accurately and clearly with relevant amount of information
    • Develops effective relationships with key stakeholders
    • Participates in regular conference calls with Retail and relays information to B&M teams

    • Systems/planning tools – expert level on MS Office, reporting systems, range plans and Outlook
    • Knowledge of retail operations / supply chain / web operations
