    Mountain Warehouse are growing fast both in the UK and Internationally. Our supply chain operations are key to delivering this growth and an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as an Assistant Logistics Manager. Working with third party logistics providers and teams across the Mountain Warehouse business you’ll play a key operational role in keep product moving to our stores and customers.


    This is a challenging and rewarding role for an ambitious logistics manager looking to join a fast growing business and gain experience in delivering real results in a challenging environment. The role reports to the Logistics Manager UK and Europe.

    • Operational management of DC’s, transport providers and Internet order carriers within the Mountain Warehouse supply chain
    • Drive improvement of operating processes, systems to deliver cost and service benefits in the Mountain Warehouse supply chain
    • Key focus on the E-Commerce fulfilment operation – both DC and couriers delivering B2C orders

    What you'll be doing

    • Oversee day to day operations across Distribution Centres, store transport freight providers and B2C order carriers in the UK
    • Report on DC operational KPI’s, pro-actively review operations and support the Logistics Manager in delivering service and cost improvements
    • Monitor courier performance and service levels, identify issues and recommend contingency plans (Web/Retail managing)
    • Plan and update store delivery schedules including peak trading periods and public holidays
    • Plan the delivery of stock and fixtures for new store openings in conjunction with retail operations and store teams
    • Management procurement of DC consumables
    • Delivery operational projects to support new business and improve supply chain operations
    • Act as the primary point of contact for retail and merchandising queries

    We would love to meet someone with

    • Experience of working with 3PL’s in the UK or Europe
    • Experience of E-Commerce fulfilment from a DC operation and working with B2C couriers
    • Strong Excel ability (V-look Ups, Pivot Tables, Sumifs)
    • Able to deliver at pace, sometimes with imperfect information
    • Strong planning skills
    • Used to rolling sleeves up and getting stuck in
    • Analytical when providing commentary on reports.
