  • Overview

    We’re looking for a dynamic, creative, commercially-led individual with strong media relations to come on board and help realise our ambitious growth targets for 2018 and beyond.

    As PR & Social Media Manager you will be responsible for raising our profile at home and abroad, creating and delivering both our proactive and reactive press and social strategy, conceptualising and executing events and working on influencer strategy and engagement.

    What you'll be doing

    PRESS & PR

    • Develop strategies and PR plans that can be executed globally to grow brand awareness amongst our target audience
    • Secure, and maximise targeted press coverage across print and online outlets through innovative stories and regular distribution of brand/product press releases
    • Identify opportunities and manage press launches for new product ranges, partnerships and influencer collaborations.
    • Manage our press office function; ensure all press requests are responded to with timely, accurate information.
    • Build and maintain close relationships with key media contacts and influencers
    • Take ownership for PR-driven brand projects, collaborations and partnerships; project manage from concept to timely and efficient implementation

    SOCIAL

    • Develop social media strategy, plans and campaigns to boost reach and engagement, ultimately driving brand loyalty and new customer acquisition
    • Structure and maintain the social media calendar and activities; management of social platforms including (but not limited to) Facebook, Instragram and Twitter.
    • Create engaging multimedia content to seed across social channels, working with SEO team to ensure maximum impact and appropriate localisation where necessary
    • Engage with media, influencers and customers across social channels; ensure timely responses to customer posts, queries and complaints (with Customer Services)
    • Track and monitor the impact and success of campaigns to ensure deliverables are being met, reporting on a weekly and monthly basis

    We would love to meet someone with

    • At least 4 years’ experience implementing a PR strategy in a retail environment, either in-house or agency
    • Experience of managing social media platforms or communities for brands
    • Degree in communications, marketing, advertising, PR or related field preferred
    • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal with a natural ability to connect with people
    • Strong emotional intelligence, ability to negotiate challenging situations and influence stakeholders
    • Intuitive grasp of brand and the customer
