  • Overview

    Reporting directly to the Buying and Merchandising Director with a dotted line into the Visual Merchandise Manager you will be responsible for the store design process from inception to completion for all new stores, refits and resites as well as many other exciting projects across the UK and Europe for both our Mountain Warehouse, Zakti brands any new facia’s.

     

    You will also be involved in the design and sourcing process for new fixtures, fittings and internal displays for all brands.

    What you'll be doing

    • Project management of store design process
    • Survey buildings & design floor layout with an awareness of H&S requirements along with Retail Project manager
    • Design and sourcing of new fixtures.
    • Pull together mood boards
    • Develop design plans and elevations
    • Timely creation of all drawing packs
    • Liaise between colleagues and external contractors to ensure clarity of communication and consistency of interpretation
    • Understand the particular requirements of a Mountain Warehouse store to present the product with clear navigation and operational efficiency
    • Work closely across the business especially with the Retail Project Manager, Visual Merchandising & Retail as well as our external supply chain.
    • Travel to sites as and when required

    We would love to meet someone with

    • Ideally 3 years plus experience in store design experience either agency or in-house
    • Makes commercial design decisions in line with budgets.to ensure there is no over spend.
    • Relevant technical qualifications as a designer or architect
    • Experience in Retail Project Management including new store openings
    • Strong knowledge of retail design methods
    • Creative sensibilities and taste levels are aligned with the Mountain Warehouse lifestyle.
