  • Overview

    The fast-growing development team at Mountain Warehouse is split into 4 teams, each looking after a different set of applications and using a loose Kanban approach. The architecture is microservices with continuous deployment.

    This is a new position at Mountain Warehouse managing two other project managers. We’re looking for someone to provide day-to-day support for the existing project managers as well as running projects themselves.This is a great opportunity for someone to improve the standard of our project management methodology.

    What you'll be doing

    • Understand business requirements, enable plans to be produced between stakeholders and developers and manage the delivery of those plans.
    • Ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date as projects progress.
    • Help business owners prioritise projects “next up”.
    • Manage 3rd party relationships.
    • Run stand-ups meetings with at least one development team.
    • Mentor, support and line-manage two other project managers (with scope for this to increase over the next 24 months)

    We would love to meet someone with

    • Proven record of interpersonal and communication skills, managing risk and the appropriate escalation.
    • Proven experience of using Agile/Kanban methodology in a commercial working environment.
    • Proven track record of delivering of multiple smaller projects at simultaneously.
    • Strong interpersonal skills (including facilitation, influencing, negotiation, conflict resolution & presentation)
    • Experience of matrix management.
    • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills.
    • Ideally a strong experience in Full Software Development project delivery
    • A good working understanding of Microsoft applications – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project and Visio.
    • Ensuring on completion of projects that lessons learned are captured and shared.
